Who Can Be Admitted to the Sobering Center

The Sobering Center serves individuals who meet the legal definition of intoxication. For safety and legal reasons, only law enforcement, emergency medical services (EMS), or hospitals may transport individuals to the facility. Friends and family members cannot bring someone directly to the center.

If you believe someone is publicly intoxicated and needs help, you may call 911 and request transport to the Sobering Center.

Community Referral Partnership Program

We are building a strong network of community based partners, with more than 90 organizations already participating. These include treatment providers, sober living homes, courts, and crisis outreach teams.

Referral partners may contact us when they have a client who needs a safe place to sober, but does not require police or emergency medical services.
